MyRental collects criminal background data from multiple sources as available, including the Department of Corrections (DOC), which includes records from state prisons and incarcerations. In addition, we access the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) which provides background records for criminal events that resulted in a conviction.
**Criminal Reports are subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations that may restrict MyRental’s capacity to return some records. Additional Surcharges/Court Fees apply when applicable.
Certain jurisdictions may also restrict what records are available for return. As per this coverage map, it is recommended to order an individual statewide or county search for any state in gray in order to ensure coverage.
